BridgeDP completes tens of millions in Angel Round financing
December 31, 2024

Recently, BridgeDP (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BridgeDP” and “Bridge”), an embodied AI startup, announced the completion of an angel round financing in the tens of millions of RMB, jointly led by Zhengxuan Investment and Fosun Chuangfu. Yikai Capital served as BridgeDP’s exclusive financial advisor in this transaction.
BridgeDP is a market-leading developer of the general-purpose robot “cerebellum”, and received seed investment from MiraclePlus, founded by Dr. Lu Qi, at the end of 2023. This angel round will be used to accelerate product technology R&D and business expansion, helping the company further strengthen its lead and steer the development of the global embodied cerebellum industry.
In the hot embodied AI year of 2024, the BridgeDP team quickly earned market validation and secured a leading position, helping multiple humanoid robot companies complete reinforcement learning motion-control demo development from 0 to 1; at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in August 2024, 11 of more than 20 humanoid robot manufacturers purchased BridgeDP’s motion-control solution.
BridgeDP’s mission is to enhance and popularize the motion capabilities of legged robots. Today, motion-control algorithm development still remains in a hand-crafted stage; the process is tedious and complex, and every motion requires a great deal of time to generate. The BridgeDP team hopes to build a product that speeds up this process, especially the sim2real gap, reducing the time needed to develop new motions from weeks to hours, making motion editing on future humanoid robots as simple and easy to use as text editing in Microsoft Word.
// Shang Yangxing, Founder and CEO of BridgeDP, said:
We believe there is still vast room for deep development in the field of legged motion control. There remains a huge gap from human motion-control capability, especially in learning new motions and adaptive control. We want to make it general-purpose and easy to use, so that we can activate developers across the market and enable them to fully leverage the motion capabilities of legged robots to build broad application scenarios.
// Ye Lijuan, Senior Investment Director at Fosun Chuangfu, said:
On the path toward general-purpose humanoids, we are more optimistic about teams that combine cutting-edge academic exploration with engineering execution. As body and brain players emerge one after another, BridgeDP has a clear and long-term positioning—the robot cerebellum—delivering core motion-control capabilities to customers. Locomotion is the foundation for legged robots to unleash brain intelligence and get to work; walking steadily and with agility is only the first step in motion control. We believe that, on the basis of rapid breakthroughs in locomotion, BridgeDP also has the ability to extend into manipulation and then WBC, and together with ecosystem partners, is committed to realizing cross-embodiment. The road is long and difficult, but they are young, and we have patience.
